The BRILLSTEIN SECURITY ACADEMY, Inc. (BSA) - as part of the globally active Brillstein Security Group (BSG) - offers training courses in the field of professional security in numerous countries around the world. The legal provider is Brillstein and Cobra Services LC (B&C for short) - a US company based in Wyoming, with training centers in the USA, Canada, Europe, Israel, Africa and Asia. B&C continues to voluntarily fulfill the contracts with former EUBSA clients by arrangement; if you have any questions about this and it specifically concerns you, please contact us.

The history of the Brillstein Group: In the winter of 1990/91, we started to conduct such courses in the USA, France and Germany - at that time still under the name “EFFACT” program.

The focus at the beginning was on upscale international personal protection. The founder of both the EFFACT program and the Brillstein Group was Ariel “Arik” Brillstein, who has unfortunately passed away in the meantime. For a few years, the BSA has recently been limited to participants from the USA and Canada, and the Brillstein Group offered the training, expanded to include numerous other courses, in Europe as well. Among other things, a free university in the field of eLearning was cooperated with, and numerous students were successfully trained from the late 90s to date through this cooperation.

All graduates of the relevant courses were employed by Brillstein or entered into a cooperation with Brillstein - as a partner company or representative. Globalization is changing our world - and BSA has decided to offer the full program again directly. BSA is now once again the sole responsible contractual partner and teaching institution for all active and future students of BSA training. Both the faculty and the lecturers and tutors are now affiliated to the BSA.

We would like to thank everyone involved from the former organization for the long and very fruitful cooperation - this will now be seamlessly continued - under our name, with an even better and more comprehensive program, and with additional professional options! From now on, in addition to the BSA certificate, a course of study or complete training program also includes a state-recognized permit to work in the security industry - in Germany, for example, in accordance with §34 of the Trade Regulation Act (this requires an examination before the relevant local boards; the corresponding recognized preparation for this is of course included with us). Where applicable, graduates of all courses are otherwise tested and trained according to the highest quality standards worldwide, SITO/SIA (England) or the US International Standards Organization for the Security Industry.

The beginning of the former “EFFACT” program was established in the US states of Washington and Oregon, followed by a camp in Idaho in the 90s. With the start of work in Europe in the early 90s, training facilities were set up in Asia and France, and various courses began in Germany. This was followed by a training cooperation in Southeast Asia, now managed by our office in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, from 2006, another training facility was established in South Africa, in the Durban region. BSA degrees are offered, for example, in Professional Security Manager (PSM), Professional Protection Officer (PPO), Professional Intelligence Officer (PIO) and numerous others. Our study courses are designed as vocational training programs at an academic level – comparable levels in terms of learning material, academic standards and scope would be, for example, the police and military colleges or US colleges.

Our certificates are internal degrees - we continue to be a completely free, independent learning academy under US law. This means that we have the opportunity and means to offer significantly more comprehensive learning content and do not have to submit to the constraints and requirements of third parties - because their examination regulations, for example, only cover partial areas. This is an advantage for our graduates, because instead of finding training courses that are artificially limited in almost all areas, we offer you our own examination regulations with significantly higher standards than the average of our competitors, as well as unique training courses that are not offered to you anywhere else. If you are satisfied with the conventional low “state” qualifications, we are not the right partner for you, as we set significantly higher standards and offer considerably higher benefits. BSA goes far beyond the content of ordinary courses – the only way to establish a successful international career. When comparing, don't forget: it is true and well known that some of the world's best training (Israel, England, France, etc.) is far superior to conventional German training, and yet it is not “state-recognized” in Germany - this so-called “state recognition” does not therefore indicate that a particular training is particularly good, but only that certain circles recognize it!

It is not without reason that graduates of other courses from other providers keep coming to us to be trained by us at a higher level because the first training was not enough for them. Take, for example, our new course of study to become a private international investigator - PII - we are creating a completely new level for this field with our range of courses, a new level for private investigators. Not only do we consistently select only the best applicants and limit the number of participants each year (so that not too many of these new investigators enter the market), we also raise the training for private detectives as a whole to an unprecedented new level. These new PI's, who have been taking this exciting and demanding course since 2007, represent the elite of European private investigators. Our presentation is not an exaggeration - we are quite simply convinced that, as much as this will naturally disturb competitors and inspire “criticism” (actually simply expressions of envy) inspired by envy, we have known this for several years.

Our courses and training programs prepare you directly for entry into the relevant professions, and we offer EVERY successful graduate the opportunity to work with us through our affiliated partners and security agency brillstein-security-group.de after completing their training. This means that you not only receive training at the highest level, but also direct instruction and a direct, seamless transition to a long and successful career after you have completed the course. This is the important difference between our training program and other training programs or courses of study, such as the conventional “security manager.” With us, the course of study leads directly into the corresponding profession. With us, you receive internships, a probationary year, on-the-job training and complete training at the highest level – all from one-stop! Our theoretical content is taught using eLearning. This allows for individually tailored learning with a high degree of temporal flexibility.

Depending on the course of study, the theory is taught as a distance learning course, with varying durations: For this, various practical exercises must be carried out, as well as intermediate exams; the theory is accompanied by tutors, an online campus is available and email support. - The practical part is trained in face-to-face sessions. The theory is put into practice, and physical training takes place in an intensive form. Such face-to-face events (seminars) take place in our training facilities in Germany, France, England (for European participants) and/or in the USA, South East Asia or South Africa, depending on the course chosen. For the practical side of the SECURITY TRAINING, after the death of Arik Brillstein and the subsequent dissolution of EUBSA (the former leading company), BRILLSTEIN and COBRA SERVICE LC (B&C) is now in a leading role and also acts as a direct contractual partner for students.

B&C is officially registered in Wyoming, USA and approved by the Secretary of State of that state (certificate of good standing) and manages and organizes the cooperation with the branches and representation partners located in various countries around the world. Furthermore, our security students can, upon request, cooperate with or be employed by the worldwide network of B&C/BSG after completing their studies. In addition, B&C guarantees permanent employment to successful graduates of complete courses of study after passing the final examination. Of course, we also have some formal requirements for future employees; therefore, participants who wish to work for B&C or other BSG members must undergo a security check and must meet the principles of a reputable appearance, which are standard and necessary in the field of professional security and corporate protection.

The language of instruction is predominantly German, but a good to average knowledge of English is essential for studying various texts and some courses. BSA offers participants low-cost additional courses in English (including slang and military/police jargon), Hebrew, Arabic, Thai and Chinese, among others. The possible degrees from our academy, which you can achieve as a student/participant, are to be seen as internal and job-related degrees - these certificates are therefore BSA certificates: BSA - Certificate Level 1 (formerly: Associate's Degree) an BSA internal certificate BSA - Certificate Level 2 (formerly: Bachelor's Degree) a job-related BSA internal certificate at a very high level - this is the full top-level degree of our complete courses. BSA is a non-traditional institute based in the USA. In this context, “non-traditional” means that it offers combined off-campus courses, i.e. distance learning combined with classroom training, seminars, workshops, on-the-job training, etc.

We are completely independent of state authorities, privately operated and financed, and not subject to other organizations. As a consequence, we determine our own teaching content - in terms of content and scope, this goes far beyond the purely “state-recognized” training (e.g. according to the IHK, the German Trade Regulation Act) - BSA certificates themselves are therefore not officially examined or “recognized”, but are examined and certified by our active professionals and instructors in accordance with the real international conditions of the security industry - there is no alternative such extensive examination regulations that can test our complete program! In addition, our training courses are geared towards international deployment; in many areas (personal protection, private intel, private military, etc.) there is no significant market at all in Germany, and for international deployment there are much higher requirements than those of the IHK training courses. That is why IHK degrees are irrelevant for us and for the international market.

However, some BSA courses (if desired) also include preparation for IHK exams if the student's primary goal is to work in security or a similar field. Our degrees are job-related professional training certificates for competent, professional and comprehensive courses of study with a high academic level! From an international perspective, however, the IHK qualification is completely insignificant. Our courses of study and training very often far exceed the content and professional options offered by our competitors, who only offer “state-recognized” qualifications – compare the content and options for yourself. As already mentioned, we prepare participants (including in the relevant training courses!) for the necessary state examinations, i.e. IHK/trade regulations or comparable qualifications, licenses (or for the USA according to the US Association of Standards of Security Industry, etc.).

According to local laws, such exams must be taken separately and personally by the participant; these are then STATE certificates.
